When I did my first triathlon, I was hooked. I knew I needed to encourage others to do it too, so I became a coach. Competitive Advantage started from a need to train and improve myself in the sport and help others with the same goal. I read books but they have too many codes, therefore very hard to understand. Everyone is different so a generic program doesn’t work. In a book there is no feedback, no accountability and no adjustment for levels of experience, capabilities or if you are injured.

That’s where a coach is best. We monitor, adjust and gather feedback on all workouts. We cheer, we listen and most of all we are there to make you better!

I am a certified triathlon coach with OAT and TriCan. I have years of experience coaching all levels of athletic abilities. As a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, I incorporate many of my other certifications into every program. Yoga, BOSU and aquafitness may be used to help you reach your goals. I am also a Sports Conditioning Specialist Level 1 and heading toward finishing my Level 2 this year. That means that I can work you beyond your comfortable range and give the best workout in the least amount of time. SAQ drills are the main components of every workout. As for my extra curricular:

  • Ironman Finisher
  • President and Coach for the Kempenfelt Tri Club
  • KOS and Registration Coordinator for the Barrie Triathlon
  • Level 1 OAT Race Official
  • Proud Mom of two Kids of Steel
As you can see, there is always time somewhere to achieve your goals!
